Gallery Tokonoma specializes in intriguing minimalist Japanese ink art and other forms of what we call "art you love to live with" because of their qualities to inspire and uplift while leaving space for your own imagination.

Gallery Tokonoma prides itself on sourcing the artists doing the most interesting, modern art works on paper in the ink medium. These include such cutting edge contemporary Japanese artists as Yumiko Tanno and Michiko Sotobayashi. We also carry exclusively in Australia printwork by Yamamoto Fukiko.

The gallery and a green tea cafe are situated in a unique natural location just outside the historic village of Mudgeeraba in the Gold Coast hinterland, Queensland, Australia, on the road to one of the Gold Coast’s premier tourist destinations, Springbrook, with its pristine Purlingbrook Falls.
